Public Swimming Baths, Newcastle Road, Sunderland - 2011

Histroic Buildings Recording

TWM Archaeology were commissioned by Sunderland City Council to carry out a historic buildings recording of the Public Swimming Baths on Newcastle Road in Sunderland prior to the demolition of the building.

The building was a good example of a purpose-built 1930s Public Swimming Baths.

The building recording took the form of a written, drawn and photographic survey. Accurate elevation drawings, floor plans and cross-sections of the building were produced from measured survey carried out during the fieldwork element of the project.
