Watching briefs
Archaeological monitoring of works and reporting
When minimal archaeological remains have been found by other investigations (such as during an evaluation) in areas deemed archaeologically sensitive by the planning authorities, watching briefs on ground disturbance are often requested.
We will promptly dispatch an archaeologist to record the location of your groundwork and any archaeological remains within it, to high professional standards. By working with your team to identify opportunities to monitor ground disturbance, we will work to your timescale to minimise disruption and delay to your project. If significant discoveries are made we will liaise with the planning authorities to ensure that your work progresses swiftly.
