Welcome to art online.

Art Online is a database of Tyne and Wear Museums' fine and decorative art collections that are housed at the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle and the Shipley Art Gallery in Gateshead. The purpose of this online database is to make the collections more accessible.

The collections have been recognised as nationally important under the Museums and Galleries Designation Scheme.
