Discovery Museum hosts a spectacular afternoon of music from the North East's rising stars in this event, organised with music development agency Generator.


Five of the region's best new acts have been selected to play in front of a panel of music industry experts. The event will be rounded off with performances from two of the most talked-about bands from the North East, Brilliant Mind and Let's Buy Happiness.

Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music)


Tom is undoubtedly one of the most important radio DJs for emerging music in the UK and regularly helps to boost the profile of many artists from the North East on his national BBC Introducing shows.


Peter Brewis (Field Music)


In massively influential Sunderland band Field Music and through his solo project, The Week That Was, Peter has proven that he can consistently write catchy and intelligent pop music.  Claire Dupree (NARC magazine)

The event is free and suitable for all ages - just drop in to Discovery Museum between 12pm and 5pm on Saturday 14 November.
