A rare chance to see the first episode of legendary TV show The Tube, originally broadcast in 1982. Featuring the Jam, Pete Townshend and presented by Jools Holland and Paula Yates.
The event will be hosted by pop historian Chris Phipps and will feature live music. Refreshments will be available.
Tickets are £5 and are available on the door or in advance from Discovery Museum’s shop or you can click here to buy your ticket online from the Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums shop.
The event complements the free exhibition at Discovery Museum, called North East Beat.
