History Brought to Life

20 - 21 Mar

Step back in time at Discovery Museum for a weekend of special events that will animate the Museum’s award-winning collections. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our Victorian-clad butlers entertaining you with their physics tricks.

Medi-Evil Science Show

Shows start at 10.30am, 11.45am, 2pm and 3.15pm

Having a disease is not fun - coughing, sneezing and vomiting are generally not good things. But in the past the treatments could be worse than the disease. Join the deranged, time travelling Doctor Death Simon Watt to see if he can 'cure' you!

Meet the Inventors

10.30am - 12.30pm and 2pm - 4pm

William Armstrong and Joseph Swan, two Victorian inventors, both came from Newcastle and Discovery Museum will be bringing them back to life!

Follow our trail around the Museum to discover their inventions and meet the two characters along the way. Learn more from them about the things they created and how they changed our lives.

No booking required - just drop in.

Science Butlers

The Science Butlers will be at Discovery Museum throughout the day on 20 and 21 March, demonstrating their fun science experiments.
