Streetwise Opera presents My Secret Heart, a century-leaping music and film installation by leading electronic composer Mira Calix, renowned video artists Flat-e and Streetwise Opera performers from around England.

The film installation, which will be situated in Discovery's Great Hall, was created with 100 performers from homeless centres around the UK. Appearing as sillhouettes on a 360-degree screen, the performers, along with a choir, are inspired by Miserere Mei, a haunting 17th century piece of choral music.

The music was considered so beautiful when it was written that an embargo was issued on it leaving

the Vatican. Legend has it that this was broken by Mozart who heard it once and wrote it down. My Secret Heart interprets the central theme of secrecy and mystery through a cutting-edge piece of music and film.
