The Great North Museum: Resource Centre based at Discovery Museum, houses thousands of artefacts from the Museum’s collections which are not currently on display.
See Victorian trophy heads, 200 years of taxidermy, thousands of natural history specimens and Ethnographic objects. Some of the artefacts were acquired as far back as the 18thcentury when the collections that formed the original Hancock Museum began.
