Celebrating the 175th Anniversary of Newcastle’s Theatre Royal, Discovery Museum will explore the fascinating histories behind five of Newcastle’s theatres including: Journal Tyne Theatre, Live Theatre, Northern Stage, People’s Theatre and the Theatre Royal. From their early beginnings to the present day, the exhibition will tell the tale of drama, dance, comedy and much more.

The exhibition also contains a selection of photographs taken by members of the Moving Forward group (part of Mental Health Concern). The group worked with a professional photographer to take photos at five theatres in Newcastle. The best shots are now on show in the exhibition at Discovery Museum.
