What’s so special about the West End?
What gives it its unique character?
Who built the West End and what is its story?
A new exhibition created with people from the West end of Newcastle seeks to answer these questions and reveals stories about life in the West end.
The exhibition presents films, objects and photographs that uncover the rich and diverse heritage of the area, including photographs by the late Jimmy Forsyth, who documented city life; and objects which reveal the West end's Roman past.
