Birds of Prey display

Birds on display 11am - 3pm

With two 30 minute flying displays at 11.30am & 2pm

See owls, hawks, buzzards and other magnificent birds of prey at an exciting day of falconry at the museum. Are you brave enough to get up close to these feathered hunters?

Amongst the birds on display will be Betsy the Barn Owl aged seven years, Marmo the tawny owl, an amazing 18 years old, and Buzby the Buzzard aged three years – and apparently quite a character!

Head Falconer ‘Del-Boy’ (real name Derek Clark) will be on hand all day to answer any of your questions about the different birds, their habitats and their place in our environment.
