Find out more about the magnificent red kite following its successful reintroduction into a unique semi-urban environment in the lower Derwent Valley.
Join the Environmental Records Information Centre (ERIC) North East and the Friends of the Red Kites for this fantastic opportunity to observe this re-established population of birds right on our doorstep.
The event is suitable for all but children must be accompanied by an adult. Transport from the Great North Museum: Hancock to the Derwent Valley Country Park at Winlaton Mill and back again will be provided. Please bring binoculars if you have them.
