How to find us
By public transport
The Great North Museum: Hancock is only a five minute walk from Haymarket Metro station, which is just two stops from Central Station the mainline rail station and local bus services. The museum is well signposted from the station. Haymarket Metro station is currently undergoing re-development and is closed at various times. By car
The Great North Museum: Hancock is based on Newcastle University’s campus at Barras Bridge in Newcastle upon Tyne. The Museum can be found just off the Great North Road (B1318). Please note that limited parking for blue badge holders is available outside the Museum. There is no additional parking on site. We would recommend travelling by public transport or parking in Claremont Road car park which is a five minute walk from the Museum.
