What was the role of women during the 1984-85 miners' strike in the region? What did it achieve? This talk looks at how the women's groups started, and discusses the impact of their activities.
Heather Wood founded the women's support groups in East Durham during the 1984-85 miners' strike and was chair of the Save Easington Area Mines and Save Easington Area Mines Relief Fund.
