Fantastic Fungi forays
Find out more about the exciting world of fungi - venture into Castle Eden Dene National Nature Reserve, and learn how to identify different species and play an active role in their conservation through recording. The event will begin with an exploration of the Castle Eden Dene case study in the Natural Northumbria gallery at the Museum.
Booking is essential for these hugely popular outings, which are open to everyone and include a coach from the Museum in Newcastle to Castle Eden Dene and back. The events are suitable for all, both adults and children, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
There are three dates available: Saturday 25 September 10am - 3:30pm, Sunday 10 October 10am – 3:30 pm, and Saturday 16 October (over 16s only) 10am -3:30pm.
The events have been organised by the EYE (Exploring Your Environment) Project which is run by the Environmental Records Information Centre (ERIC) North East. ERIC North East is based at the Great North Museum: Hancock and aims to encourage more people in the region to take an interest in and record the wildlife they see around them.
Please call (0191) 222 5158 or email eye.project@twmuseums.org.uk to book your place or find out more.
