Picture of the month - 2010 schedule
Saturdays at 11am
Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne
The Laing Art Gallery is offering visitors the chance to learn more about the stories behind some of its best-loved paintings with a series of free talks. The Picture of the Month talks will focus on a different painting every month.
Julie Milne, curator of the Laing Art Gallery, says:
'There are so many fascinating stories and hidden facts behind the paintings on show at the Laing and these free tours will give people a chance to find out more about a different work of art each month.'
The talks are run by the Friends of the Laing and take place every Saturday at 11am with no booking required - meet in the Laing's Marble Hall to join in.
