2012 Picture of the Month at the Laing Art Gallery

Saturdays at 11am

The Laing Art Gallery is offering visitors the chance to learn more about the stories behind some of its best-loved paintings with a series of free talks. The Picture of the Month talks will focus on a different painting every month.

Julie Milne, curator of the Laing Art Gallery, says: 'There are so many fascinating stories and hidden facts behind the paintings on show at the Laing and these free tours will give people a chance to find out more about a different work of art each month.'

The talks are run by the Friends of the Laing and take place every Saturday at 11am with no booking required - meet in the Laing's Marble Hall to join in.

Little Artists

Tuesdays (term time),10.30am - 11.45am

Come along to the Laing with your little ones and explore art in a fun and relaxed way.  Sessions are one hour and include a story, an art/craft activity and a snack.

£2.50 for the first child and £1 for additional children.
