Sound of the foghorn
"Obviously, obviously the foghorn. I’ve lived in Shields most of my life, born and bred here"
Obviously, obviously the foghorn. I’ve lived in Shields most of my life, born and bred here, I lived at Marsden, I still do live at Marsden, and the foghorn, when it was going off, you’d think, “oh my God,” you stop, you can’t get any sleep, and then one day it stopped and never went on again and you couldn’t get any sleep because you couldn’t hear it. So, you know, it was like an old friend, just gone, you know. It’s something, that is a sound that you get used to.
