Why Souter is important
"Well, it was one of the places I first came and started making friends when we made the move, so thatís always got to have a significance"
Well, it was one of the places I first came and started making friends when we made the move, so thatís always got to have a significance. Itís important because itís important for people to realise the implications of history, the way things have changed. Itís important that people realise how much time and effort and energy was given to saving lives from being lost at sea. Itís important because the children that we get, a lot have seen the way people used to live. Itís important most of all, to me, itís important because of all the nice people we meet.
As I say, thatís not just visitors, itís the volunteers and staff here as well, so itís across the board, you meet really nice people. Where else can you go, have a dayís fun. Enjoy yourself and do something thatís, is worthwhile?
