Clean air in the North East
"Because I was suffering so much from pollens and pollutions"
Because I was suffering so much from pollens and pollutions. We lived in a short tree lined avenue leading onto a huge park and the pollens just became unbearable, and I suffer from them all year round. It’s not just a hay fever thing for me- I was taking too many anti-histamines, steroid spray, well, I’m still taking the steroid spray but I’ve cut the anti-histamines by, I used to take six a day, I take two when I need them, which might be, this time of year, it might be once every couple of weeks. In the summer if might be everyday because it depends what pollens are around. Last year was bad because the rape seed oil just down the road was very bad, otherwise, it’s drive out into the country and whoops, there’s that horrible yellow flower, take them. In Birmingham it was two steroid injections a year. Not a nice way to live. Up here, this is the fourth year and I haven’t had one, touch wood.
