Bill Gould

Bill was born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. He served in the army in Germany, Sudan and Korea from 1950 to 1955. He came to live in North Shields in 1955, married and moved to Cullercoats in 1957. Bill helps with fundraising for the RNLI and maintains contact with retired RNLI crew.

"Yes, we use it for fundraising"
Yes, we use it for fundraising. I think, well, I know, Sybil’s got it booked for an Easter Fair, and last year Harbour Day was rained off and the lifeboat lads just picked everything up en masse and carried it up here, set everything up in here in the Community Centre, in the big hall. And instead of it being a washed out loss, they raised over £6000, so it’s, it does work.
