"The sea? Oh, the sea is travel, living. Thereís a lot of life in the sea, Iíve been a long way on the sea"

The sea? Oh, the sea is travel, living. Thereís a lot of life in the sea, Iíve been a long way on the sea, and itís nice to look at when the weatherís nice. As I say, for my wifeís family itís provided a living. For about 400 years or something! And up until recently it was providing my son with a living, heís only fishing part time now, but, yeah, itís a lot of things to a lot of people, the sea, I mean.

Thereís a lot of life, a lot of, itís very nice to see when you stand on the front, or on the beach when itís a nice day, you see the sea, the seaís a nice colour when the sunís shining off it, you see the boats going along, the ships on the horizon, people enjoying themselves. Itís all good. I wouldnít move away from Cullercoats. Iíve been here 50 years, and I donít think Iím going to move now.
