Joining the Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade
"I joined because I’d wanted to give something back"
I joined because I’d wanted to give something back. I have been associated with the sea, with diving with fishing, with just living on the coast for all my life and the brigade felt like it was in some way giving something for all the fun and pleasure I had. And also the camaraderie’s quite interesting- the interactions of the guys, winding each other up is a good part of the brigade.
