The lifeboat
"Then, of course there was the old fishermen, sort of, sort of that. I can remember when they had a rowing lifeboat"
Then, of course there was the old fishermen, sort of, sort of that. I can remember when they had a rowing lifeboat. They had to row and when the maroon used to go off, the village came to a stop, and everybody ran to the beach, and they helped to haul this boat out. It was something- of course the kids, we were kept out of the way, but you were there- I can remember that vividly. Women as well were in the water pulling the boat out.
