"Well, the year before I was going to retire, we came on a visit here"

Well, the year before I was going to retire, we came on a visit here. And apart from golf I didn’t have anything lined up for my retirement and I saw that they were looking for volunteers, and I was struck by the engineering of this place, and I thought, “well, it could be interesting,” so I came down and I’ve been here ever since.
