"Sounds? Really, it’s just the crashing of the waves, isn’t it"

Sounds? Really, it’s just the crashing of the waves, isn’t it. You know, like, like, I can lie in bed and I can hear the surf, so I know it’s big surf, you know. If it’s, if it’s, if it’s onshore then it’s usually only five foot or bigger that I can hear it. If it’s offshore and it’s big, you know, then maybe eight foot and I can hear it and I’m still lying in bed, so you know, if it’s offshore, you’re in for a memorable day, you know, but when you’re actually paddling out- that’s one good thing about surfing, when you’re paddling out, it’s quite still. Okay, there’s the booming of the waves when they break, break, break on the shore, but everything else is quiet, and I think that’s most peaceful, you know, it’s, you know, you won’t get a better atmosphere.
