"I was working on the beach here for about three years"

I was working on the beach here for about three years, just got interested and when I moved up here I joined the crew.

I was working as Beach Lifeguard, Senior Lifeguard on the beach.

Well, obviously, based, we’re working alongside each other so I just got to know Robert and got to know the crew, and obviously I lived, I didn’t live here at the time, but once I moved up this way, just asked if I could join the crew.
