"We have a pager, we work on a pager system"

We have a pager, we work on a pager system. Coastguard pages the lifeboat manager, and he decides whether the boat goes or not and then he’ll authorise the rest of the crew to be paged. We come down, muster here, whoever’s the helmsman will decide who’s going to take, what sort of job it is, what equipment we need and off we go. Normally happens within three or four minutes of being paged- we’re in the water and away.
