Tynesider
I served my apprenticeship at "Smiths Dock's" North Shields as a fitter/turner and had often seen the tug "Tynesider" traveling up & down the river. My wife Ann & I emigrated to Canada in 1977 & started sailing as a hobby. Our present yacht is a Corbin 39ft & has a registered name of "Tynesider" of which we are very proud. We have cruised the Great Lakes from our base in Ontario, Canada and have travelled down the eastern coast of the USA to Florida & crossed over to the Bahamas. This web site brings lots of good memories, thank you
