There’s not much left of the engine works there. The crank shaft facility, what I worked in when I was in, when employed, that building’s still there. It’s used for something, there’s actually, it’s the Sunderland climbing wall now, they made a climbing wall because the, because the roof was that high, and I think it’s well used that way for the climbing wall, and I’ve been around the ship yard since it closed, but as I say, and the old offices are still there, but I haven’t, as I say, I didn’t do much down the shipyard so I don’t really, I can’t say I know much about that place.
Well, it was nice to see it again. I was, when it, when it was organised to go around it, I was pleased to go around it and see, just to see what was left, and it brought back the old nostalgia again about having a look at the offices still there, the shop is still there, the entrance to the, the main entrance was still there, we were all going over what was there and what was here, or why it had been knocked down and this, that and the other. It was really very good, actually. It really brought up old memories, you know.
