"Well, my mother taught me how to knit"

Well, my mother taught me how to knit that was when I was just a youngster and it was something that you pick up from your mother. And because years ago, yes you did, you used to do a lot of knitting while these days you find that a lot of people don’t because you can buy garments just as cheap now without having to hand make them. But years ago it was always the case that mothers taught their daughters how to knit. So that’s how you build up, and you build up your knowledge and if you got stuck you went and asked your mum how you did certain things and then you just found things out yourself.
