"Well, it was in the paper"
Well, it was in the paper reading about the, and again, another, he was an apprentice, Stan Wallace, I’ve seen his photograph in the paper with the Doxford Engine, and they were taking it from one shipyard and putting it in Beamish. I think I’m like a piece of candy rock- I’m stamped right through ‘Doxford’ and of course straight away it would bring back memories- it has. Joining the group, I found we talk about a lot of things, the old times, and we have a good laugh and actually seeing the engine again and seeing it hasn’t just been thrown to one side like everything else and it’s brought back a lot of memories. I like memories.
