"How has it changed? Well, there’s a lot less people"
How has it changed? Well, there’s a lot less people and I would say there’s probably a lot less discipline. I mean, in the old days we used to practice marching for the Cenotaph, you know for November 11th for the War Remembrance. There was a lot more discipline, I think, but if you remember, 50s and 60s and that, it was after people were doing their national service so they were well used to drilling and marching and following orders and that whereas the modern ilk, they’re not used to following orders and marching or drilling. I would have said there isn’t any factions anymore. Back in the old days there would be factions, like, you know, this lot of lads would like this captain, and they would like that captain and there was a bit of back biting, maybe. You know, a bit of fun and a bit of… there’s none of that now, we’re all one team now. That’s one of the main differences.
