"When I went to Priory School, my dad used to work nightshift"
When I went to Priory School, my dad used to work nightshift and he would get us up in the morning when he came off nightshift, he’d take us down on the beach, for a paddle or whatever at half past seven in the morning, myself and my brother. And then we would get dressed and would be taken to school, you know, after having a paddle in the... And the sun always used to shine then, you know, in 1951 and '52. It doesn’t shine like it used to then, or it doesn’t seem to. It probably does, but it did seem to be warmer. We used to get blue feet because it was so cold. Just up to here where you’d been plodging. Ah well, never mind.
