The sound of the Stanley Bell
"I mean, there's daft sounds. There’s like the Stanley Bell"
I mean, there's daft sounds. There’s like the Stanley Bell, you know, in the Brigade House. I like to hear it ring. In the committee room there’s also a brass bell that used to be on the desk of the Captain of the Stanley and when they have a committee meeting to call order they use that bell, you know. It’s quite… what’s the right word? Nostalgic like, you know what I mean? To think that something that was wrecked in 1864 the bell is still being rung in the place.
