Oh well, yes. As soon as the war was declared, the, it was all barbed wire along the front, and you couldn’t go down beach- only the fishermen could. And in them days they couldn’t use the maroons for the lifeboat, you know, they just had to get a phone call, and my aunt, my uncle Jimmy was the coxswain at the time, and my aunt had to run around all the houses knocking them up, you know, because, there was the, those, they didn’t telephones like everybody does today. The coxswain of the lifeboat always had a telephone.
