Learning to dive in the North East
"Just off the rocks at Cullercoats, a place called Table Rocks"
Just off the rocks at Cullercoats, a place called Table Rocks, it’s still there now, and it was a like a man made, natural, natural swimming pool cut in the rocks, tide comes in and fills it up, and, just off there, and it’s quite a well known dive spot now but at the time that’s where we, just off there. And predominantly at, up the North East coast at Beadnell, Seahouses, Beadnell, that’s where I spent a lot of my childhood up there. Great days. Halcyon days.
There’s a myriad of life during the summer, lots of visibility and it compares very nicely with loads of other places around the world, dare I say the Red Sea or even the Indian Ocean. On its day, when the sun shines and the visibility and everything comes together you would think you were on the other side of the world.
