Types of call out and atmosphere
"It ranges from all sorts. It could be a fishing boat broken down that we’ll tow back to the Tyne"
It ranges from all sorts. It could be a fishing boat broken down that we’ll tow back to the Tyne, it could be kite surfers in distress, swimmers, and it varies to more unfortunate, recovering people that have drowned and things like that, or suicide attempts off the promenade and things, so there’s a wide range of stuff we actually do.
It’s brilliant, it’s all just teamwork and what with it all just being volunteers it’s just loads of enthusiasm. It’s great, you know, lads and lasses are coming down here in their spare time, just sweeping the boat house, just getting amongst it, you know, and really enjoy it.
