Knitting a traditional gansey
"Just it’s very traditional. It was my husband who really wanted one"
Just it’s very traditional. It was my husband who really wanted one. He's in Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade and he saw the portraits in the Brigade House and all the old men were wearing their ganseys and he asked if I could make one so I became interested in it.
And Alex wanted a traditional one of Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade so I went down to the Brigade House and looked at the portraits and took the pattern from there.
