Motorcycle accident and move to the Drawing Office
"Unfortunately in 1959 when I was in this department, I had a motorbike, as young lads did in that, them days and I had a motorcycle accident "
Unfortunately in 1959 when I was in this department, I had a motorbike, as young lads did in that, them days and I had a motorcycle accident and this put me into hospital for just over a year. When I came back to Doxford’s, in those days, they tended to look after you like a family member, and I was offered this job in the Drawing Office which I took up, and I went in designing various parts for the engine and the pipe work to and from the engine in the ship.
