Diving in the North East
"Well, one of the best diving areas in the world is the North East coast"
Well, one of the best diving areas in the world is the North East coast, without a doubt. So I’ve been to the Caiman Islands, I’ve dived the Red Sea, I’ve dived Catalina Islands off California, I’ve dived the Indian Ocean, I dived in Norway underneath the ice, but still the best is to dive the North East coast, is Craster and Beadnell and Howick, and Newton by the Sea and St Abbs Head. There was a wonderful guy called Horace Dobbs and he wrote a book called The Twelve Best Dives in all the World and in that book was Sharm-el-Shaik, Ras Mohamed, Truck Lagoon and Devil’s Point and St Abbs Head on the North East coast.
