Neil was born in Craster and is the fourth generation of his family in the kipper business. The business has gone through a series of changes in recent times, but Robson's continues to make kippers.

Well, you’re never sure what’s around the corner, but hopefully it will continue to grow the way it has done. But we have got limitations in here, the size of the factory we have here, and I don’t think I would ever produce Craster kippers on a modern trading estate on the outskirts of a city or anything like that. I think it has to be retained within it’s, the fabric that it’s done now, so just as long as we can get good quality herring, we’ll keep making kippers.
