Sounds of the Fish Quay
"Yes, engines going on at night"
Yes, engines going on at night. The boats have, all the fishing boats have generators on them, and especially in the winter months the heating has to be kept going, and the only way they can do that is generate electricity and they have to have the boats with their different engines- different engines make different sounds, and you get that. The sound of the gulls, especially when the boats are in and they’re sorting their catches, the noise can be tremendous. The clatter of boxes, the shouting of the fishermen, the squeaking of the winches- all these things, they all add to that atmosphere.
