Familiar sounds
"I'm at the point where I’m quite sad, living on the coast and working for the ambulance service"
I'm at the point where I’m quite sad, living on the coast and working for the ambulance service, I’m now able to recognise an ambulance siren and a fire brigade siren and also ours as well. So if I’m not on pager or my pager hasn’t gone off, and I hear our siren for, the lads normally stick on the air horns as well if they’re trying to get through traffic, then I know it’s them and I ring up and I’ll find out what’s going on. So I guess the air horn on the Landrover, and Michael’s a bit over-zealous with the use of that just to make sure everyone knows he’s coming to get out the way.
