"I would have said on average, about, between 30 and 35 a year, that’s been about our average"

I would have said on average, about, between 30 and 35 a year, that’s been about our average. We have had years more, we have had years less. As I say average about 35 a year.

Interviewer: How do you feel when you find out you’ve got to go out and it’s an emergency?

You get like an adrenaline rush, I would say. I still have the same feeling now that I did when I was 17 when the boat’s wanted. Especially if you know it’s bad weather.

When you know it’s bad weather, especially. It’s in your mind, if you know where the job is and stuff, the kind of area you’re going into, what it, you know, because I’ve been fishing from here all my life, I know areas that you don’t really want to be in in certain weather conditions, and especially if you find out that it’s in the area.
