When I was a young lad, I can remember coming in the lifeboat house and sometimes the boat would be in the station for maybe six weeks at a time. And the smell of the polish that they used to use for the boat and the mixture of salt water and the diesel fumes used to, like, dwell in the station. And there was certain smell that I hadnít smelt for a long, long time and when our boatís been locked up for a few days as it has been anyway, thereís that smell. And itís a smell that youíll always remember from being a young lad, and itís nice when you smell it. People may think it stinks, but itís a pleasant smell to me.
