What does the sea mean to you?
"It’s something which has supported a hobby of mine for almost 30 years"
It’s something which has supported a hobby of mine for almost 30 years and it’s something that I will always be fascinated by. I couldn’t live away from the sea, you know, I live a hundred yards off the sea front- I couldn’t live anywhere else, I mean, I, it means too much. From 1968 when I was a lifeguard to sort of now, you know, to walking the dog along the, walk along the beach. First of all I love where I live, of course the area where I live, it was built on the sea. It was the sea that brought everything to this area, it brought the Vikings, it brought the Romans, it brought everybody to this area. And it’s such an important part of my life. Very, very important.
