What does the sea mean to you?
"More than I think I realise, I donít think I could ever live anywhere else without a sea, without an active sea"
More than I think I realise, I donít think I could ever live anywhere else without a sea, without an active sea. Itís a double edge sword- on one hand itís given me most of the pleasure in my life, but on the other itís a bit of a prison as well, itís a bit of a kind of, because I canít, I canít escape it. I mean, Iíve been all around the world doing the world circuit and I seem to have just hugged the coastline. And Iíve been to Australia seven times or eight times, Iíve never been to Ayers Rock, for example, just because there could have been a good swell, orÖit does bind you, itís something thatís, thereís sort of an invisible line where you say ten miles inland, and you kind of start forgetting it.
