Surfing community
"Oh yeah, very strong, very strong surfing community in outlying areas"
Oh yeah, very strong, very strong surfing community in outlying areas, yes. Everybody’s friendly on the beach and you can ring the surf shop for a local surf check and Nick or Gary will tell you what state the surf is, if you want to come down and surf.
Interviewer: And do you still surf now?
Tim: Me?
Interviewer: Yes
Tim: No I don't. I think I'm a bit over the hill at 58.
Interviewer: Do you miss it?
Tim: I do miss it, yeah. When I come down and see a surfer catch a wave, well, I’m there with him. I’m experiencing the same rush they get just watching them, so I get my enjoyment that way, and chat to the lads on the beach.
