Monkwearmouth Station Museum is housed in a distinctive 1840s station on the main railway line between Sunderland and Newcastle. Explore the new Journeys Gallery, learn more about travel in the past and meet the Victorian Stationmaster in his 1840's booking office. Workshops run on the themes of travel and history. See modern trains go past from the Platform Gallery and play and learn in the Children's Gallery. The Museum now has two dedicated learning spaces planned.
